The Zero Gecko family, the first Cortex M0+ device from Silicon Labs, was architected from the ground up with energy efficiency as the top priority. It features four energy modes, drawing as little as 110 μA/MHz at 24 MHz running a prime number algorithm. The devices incorporate a 12-bit, 1 MSps ADC that consumes just 350 μA at 1 MSps, and a current DAC that is capable of supplying 0,05–64 μA of current (sink or source) with only 10 nA of current overhead. The comparator current consumption is only 100 nA with selectable hysteresis. The Zero Gecko has 128-bit AES encryption, a peripheral reflex system and low-energy UART.
