K Measure has added a new oscilloscope accessory to its range of products, in the form of the ISFE module from Siglent which converts any oscilloscope into a 2000 V isolated scope.
The isolated front-end module offers 2000 V (RMS) isolation between channels, 1000 V (RMS) isolation between signal and ground, and has a max/min input voltage of -600 V to +600 V. It can be powered from any USB port and draws only 200 mA; the USB port is also isolated from the channels. Bandwidth is 1 MHz, which is much higher than the typical frequencies of high voltages.
The ISFE can turn a low-cost PC-based oscilloscope into an isolated oscilloscope, at a fraction of the price. This is ideal for people working with mains or higher voltages and even on vehicles where some voltage spikes can reach into the hundreds of volts.
