M/A-COM Technology Solutions announced two new HMIC silicon PIN diode broadband switches for multi-market applications. The single-pole, two-throw (SP2T) and single-pole, three-throw (SP3T) switches are designed for designers of communication, test and instrumentation, medical, scientific and military applications.
The MASW-011052 (SP2T) and MASW-011053 (SP3T) provide industry leading low insertion loss, high isolation, high power handling and low harmonic and intermodulation distortion. Functioning up to 26 GHz, they also boast an integrated bias network.
MACOM’s HMIC process allows the incorporation of silicon pedestals that form series and shunt diodes or vias by imbedding them in low-loss, low-dispersion glass. Operating over the 2 - 18 GHz bandwidth, the switches are fully monolithic and RoHS compliant.
