The new FLX44 light pipe from VCC offers moisture sealed configurations for wet or exposed locations, combining rugged performance with flexibility for applications where one or more bends are required. Part of the Flexfire light pipe family, FLX44 offers a 7,95 mm panel opening threaded lens, and IP67 / NEMA 6P ratings for harsh environments and industrial applications.
The pipe is well suited for proof-of-concept prototyping applications that require bends and turns of indirect LED placement within an enclosure. In this scenario, it can be used for application demonstrations prior to making a more customised part that would require a tooling investment.
Standard fibre lengths range from 50,8 mm to 304,8 mm, with custom lengths also available. With a 160-degree viewing angle, the surface mount or through-hole LED light pipes can be ordered in square, round or rectangular panel shapes.
