While home electronics operate at relatively comfortable temperatures, the same is not true for many industrial applications.
Due to their wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, Recom’s new 4 W mini power supplies are well equipped to supply outdoor sensors or control units in residential as well as industrial applications.
The new RAC04-C/230 series is suitable for worldwide use due to its wide input voltage range of 80 – 264 V a.c. The modules have short-circuit protected outputs and are available in single 3,3 V, 5 V, 12 V, 15 V or 24 V or dual 5/12 V, ±5 V or ±12 V versions. Despite their compact size of 36,7 x 27,2 x 17,1 mm (L x W x H), they meet the requirements of class B EN55022 without external components, which is critical for home electronics. They achieve efficiencies of up to 79%.
This new series is pin-compatible with its predecessors while coming with a 30% reduction in cost. Standby consumption is five times less than required from the EuP directive since the converters consume no more than 100 mW under no-load conditions. The modules are certified to EN/UL 60950-1 and have a MTBF up to 500 000 hours. They come with a three-year warranty.
