DC voltage transducer

OSI recently released a new DC voltage transducer with user-selectable input ranges and 4 – 20 mA output. It has 16 user-selectable input ranges designated millivolt, low-voltage and high-voltage, 50 – 500 mV in five steps, 5 to 50 V in five steps and six ranges from 50 to 600 V d.c.

Housed in a plastic DIN-rail case and powered by 24 V d.c., the device features accuracy of 0,5% full scale with isolation tested to 2500 V a.c. Applications include shunt isolation, solar string voltage monitoring, monitoring of battery systems, rectifier monitoring and control, and monitoring of over-voltage or under-voltage conditions, for example to avoid DC motor damage.
