Norwe has added the SMD3 family to its range of coilformers for EE 5 to EE 16 size cores.
Like the SMD2 before it, the SMD3 generation features separate winding on and soldering sides, compatible accessories and the possibility for automatic processing.
The coilformers are produced using laser direct structuring (LDS) technology and do without any metal terminals. The connecting and winding surfaces are created by laser processing and electroplating. The surface mounting parts also feature optimal coplanarity, low weight and excellent solder properties.
