Murata’s RUW15 series DC-DC converters are particularly suited for rail, industrial and telecommunications applications, where variable input voltages or high transient voltages are present. They are capable of withstanding surges from 24 V, 36 V, 48 V, 72 V, 90 V and 110 V systems, largely eliminating the need for input protection circuitry.
The devices include short circuit protection, over-temperature protection and over-voltage protection. Optional features include a power fail/DC OK signal and circuitry to facilitate long hold-up times with a small external capacitor. Six different models are available, with output voltages of 5 V, 12 V or 24 V.
