The phoenix x|aminer is a cost effective, non-destructive testing (NDT) X-ray system for high-resolution inspection of electronic assemblies, components and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA).
Made by GE’s phoenix division, the system is equipped with a 160 kV / 20 W microfocus X-ray tube with an unlimited lifetime. The tube’s high energy and power ratings meet the requirements for electronic applications such as power electronics.
The machine’s phoenix x|act base software is easy to use and allows manual as well as automatic inspection. In its optional HD configuration based on a flat panel detector, the x|aminer stands out with better contrast to noise ratio for live inspection with higher defect coverage, while permitting the inspection of larger and heavier printed circuit boards.
