A programming tool for ST7 microcontrollers, for field use or for use on the production line, and claimed to be the smallest standalone programmer for the ST7, is available from Kanda.
Once the keyfob is loaded it can program target devices over and over. Only one starter kit is required for the PC and then as many keyfobs as required can be loaded. The starter kit is connected to the printer port. Once the program and EEPROM data files, device type and fuse settings have been selected the keyfobs are loaded with the program or test code in seconds. As the keyfob is battery- powered during load, no power supplies or cabling is needed. Keyfob measures 4,5 x 3 x 1,3 cm and weighs 27 g.
PC software is compatible with Windows 95/98/2000/NT.
