Low profile hook-on EMI gaskets

10 October 2001 Circuit & System Protection

Laird Technologies' line of low profile beryllium copper shielding fingerstocks has simple installation accomplished by hooking one end of the gasket onto the edge of the housing. The other end is secure with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) with extra-wide release liner and designed with a teardrop feature to improve surface contact. Ideally suited for low profile, bidirectional applications such as the rack-mounting of linecards in telecommunications equipment, the gaskets offer high shielding performance in applications where space may be limited.

Features include:

* Dual attachment provides a no snag gasket with secure retention which allows bidirectional wiping action.

* Excellent shielding effectiveness.

* Incorporates extra-wide release liner to facilitate easy installation.

* Wide variety of plating finishes are available to meet the galvanic compatibility requirements.

* Offered in standard lengths of 16,2" (411,5) or cut to the desired length.

* Available in UltraSoft (-78) low force version.
