The P 13 is the highest-powered LED in Osram Opto Semiconductors’ Soleriq P series and is available in two versions with different colour rendering indexes (CRI).
The CRI 80 LED delivers a brightness of 4000 lm even at high temperatures (85°C, 1050 mA) and can be overdriven to deliver up to 6800 lm. This high brightness is achieved with a small light-emitting surface, only 13,5 mm in diameter. The whole package measures 18 x 18 x 1,5 mm, facilitating compact and bright lighting solutions for indoor spotlights and high bay lighting.
For ambitious spotlight applications demanding high colour quality, small beam angles and high lumen output, the CRI 90 version delivers 3300 lm as standard and up to 5600 lm in overdriven conditions.
The P 13’s small light-emitting surface permits a simpler lens design which costs less and enables more compact lighting solutions. Binning of the LEDs takes place at 85°C (‘hot binning’) so that normal operating conditions are very closely matched and the brightness and colour values of the LEDs can be precisely determined in line with their subsequent use.
