Dadi Telecom has developed the IAT-1710E Integrated Access Tester for installers, network infrastructure suppliers and end-users. The instrument can verify network bandwidth through a variety of test methods to help maintenance personnel settle bandwidth issues in MSTP/MSAP and IP line access and, through a simple function of high-speed PING, assist maintenance personnel to quickly locate faults.
The multi-functional tester provides integrated testing of E1, V interface and Ethernet. It has a number of ways to verify channel bandwidth and support symmetric and asymmetric RFC2544 testing. Tests that can be performed include 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet functions, VLAN for two-layer traffic frames, and MPLS for three-layer VLAN traffic frames.
Network performance (RFC2544) testing to provide throughput, latency, frame loss and back-to-back frame testing can also be performed. Traffic testing at full line rate can be generated to test services at layer 2, 3 and 4. BERT and IPDV data jitter testing can be done at the same time.
The IAT-1710E can test the network according to the ITU-T Y.1564 Ethernet Service Activation Test Methodology. This ensures that Ethernet networks carrying multiple VLANs conform to the IEEE 802.1 q/p standard for QoS amd QoS Priority.
For ease of use, the system is fitted with a touch screen and an operating interface similar to a smartphone.
