Open-frame power supplies

22 July 2015 Power Electronics / Power Management

XP Power’s EPL225 series of open-frame AC-DC power supplies are approved for industrial, IT and medical applications. The series comprises seven single-output models that offer a range of standard output voltages from 12 V to 48 V d.c. A secondary 12 V d.c. / 0,5 A fan output is provided across the range.

Housed in a 50,8 x 101,6 x 32,3 mm footprint, the units have a convection cooled output power rating of 150 Watts, with output power of up to 225 Watts available provided 10 CFM of forced airflow. The EPL225 series offers a minimum average efficiency of 93% and a maximum efficiency of 95%, resulting in less heat to dissipate and a cooler running unit. In addition, its ‘green’ attributes include no-load power consumption of less than 0,5 Watts.

The product range suits use in a broad array of operating environments with an extended temperature range from -20°C to +70°C and no derating until +50°C.
