For soldering of large through-hole components, multilayer boards or metal parts which require high power from the heating element, Weller has introduced the WSD 121 soldering station. Featuring the WP 120 iron, the system’s intelligent ‘power on demand’ technology senses the thermal requirement for each solder joint size and applies precisely the necessary tip temperature during soldering.
The station’s single channel is able to deliver up to 120 W of heating power over a 50°C to 450°C temperature range; temperature is adjusted simply via up and down buttons, and indicated to the user on the LED display. Built for ruggedness, the iron’s heating element withstands tens of thousands of heating and cooling cycles.
