Discrete components for fibre optics

24 October 2001 Opto-Electronics

Infineon Fiber Optics offer discrete products from PIN photodiodes to FP laser diodes. All discrete components are based on the use of hermetically sealed TO components and are available in different packaging options (receptacle or pigtail) and pinout configurations.

Key features of the FP laser diodes are: compliant with Bellcore standard; uncooled coaxial package designed for digital applications; hermetically sealed subcomponents similar to TO-18; ternary photodiode at rear mirror for monitoring and control of radiant power; silicon submount technology for high temperature stability; and different pinouts, package and connector options.

Key features of the PIN photodiodes are: compliant with Bellcore standard; coaxial package; designed for digital applications in fibre-optic networks; silicon submount technology for high temperature stability; integrated transimpedance amplifier available and different connector and packaging options.
