EDA Technologies is bringing international expert Lee Ritchey to South Africa to present in-depth technical courses on designing and fabricating high-speed printed circuit boards (PCB). In addition to Ritchey’s three-day seminars, delegates will have the option to sign up for an additional day featuring an Altium high-speed application session. The courses will take place in Centurion, Pretoria from 1 to 4 March 2016, and in Stellenbosch, Cape Town from 7 to 10 March.
Ritchey will provide highly practical, tool-independent coverage of all key aspects of the high-speed design process. Beginning with the fundamentals of electromagnetic fields and the behaviour of transmission lines that are the basis for all high-speed signalling, he will move on to examine aspects of high-speed design leading to the development of a robust set of PCB design rules up to 32 Gbps, accounting for power subsystem design, routing rules and design of PCB stack-ups as well as the fabrication rules needed to balance performance against cost and manufacturability.
The Altium high-speed application session will cover all the latest high-speed capabilities in Altium Designer 16. Students will learn how to implement advanced design rules and new features in order to meet their PCB design requirements.
