High-speed chip shooter

Capable of speeds up to 92 000 components per hour, the Decan S2 from Hanwha Samsung Techwin features two gantries with 10 spindles per head. In standard form it accommodates printed circuit boards (PCB) up to 510 x 460 mm in size, while optional variants are available for boards of 740 x 460 mm or even 1200 x 460 mm.

The machine can handle parts from 03015 to 12 mm with profiles as high as 10 mm, and can place them with an accuracy of ±28 μm for 03015 components and ±25 μm for ICs. This is achieved by employing a high-precision linear scale and rigid mechanism, complemented by precision calibration algorithms and diverse automatic calibration functions.

Other features of the system include modular conveyor configurations, simplified software operation via a large LCD, and an intelligent electric feeder capable of automatic loading and splicing.
