Low-power linear regulator

27 January 2016 Power Electronics / Power Management

The MP2019 is a low-power linear regulator that supplies power to systems with high-voltage batteries. It includes a wide 3 V to 40 V input range, low-dropout voltage and a low quiescent supply current. These features allow for operation at extremely low power levels, making it ideal for low-power microcontrollers and battery-powered equipment.

Made by Monolithic Power Systems, the MP2019 provides a wide variety of fixed output voltage options (if requested): 1,8 V, 1,9 V, 2,3 V, 2,5 V, 3,0 V, 3,3 V, 3,45 V and 5,0 V; also, it provides the output-adjustable option (from 1,2 V to 15 V).

The regulator output current is limited internally, and the device is protected against short circuit, overload and over-temperature conditions. It includes thermal shutdown, current-limiting fault protection, and is available in a SOIC-8 EP package.
