The design of Traco Power’s new TEL 8WI series takes advantage of the latest technology in order to optimise size, cost, performance and reliability. The 8 Watt DC-DC converters come in a compact and robust DIP-16 metal package, and are protected against overload and short circuit. With efficiency of up to
86% they reliably operate at up to +70°C environmental temperature at full load, or up to 80°C at half load.
An internal input filter facilitates the design-in as the converters do not need external components to comply with conducted emission standard EN55022 class A. With an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range, TEL 8WI models are an economical solution for a wide range of applications in instrumentation, IT and industrial electronics.
