Surge and impulse testing system that adapts to suit the application

26 Jan 2000 Test & Measurement

The Quickon wall feed-throughs from Phoenix Contact are a PG gland and connection terminal in one. With the quick connection technology, the wires of the round cable no longer need to be stripped and cable connection is carried out without special tools by simply tightening the union nut. In the process, cutting contacts cut through the cable insulation. At the same time the strain on the cable jacket is relieved and the connection is protected against dust and splash water.

This connection technology reduces wiring time by 60%, and complicated wall feed-throughs are no longer required. The housing no longer needs to be opened to connect the cable, preventing the delicate contents of the device from being damaged.

The wall feed-throughs are available in two, three and four-pole versions with different gland sizes. In addition, Phoenix Contact also offers components for cable connection, plug connectors and distribution boxes with the quick connection technology.
