Featuring a new-generation processor and glass-film-glass touch technology, Phoenix Contact’s HMIs for outdoor applications provide performance and robustness for demanding applications. Thanks to their C1D2 certification for extreme operating conditions, the user can operate and monitor their system in any environment.
Owing to optical bonding technology, the display can be read in direct sunlight, is resistant to UV and IR radiation, and can also be operated when wearing work gloves. The HMIs have an extended temperature range from -20°C to +70°C (or -32°C to +70°C). Featuring IP67 protection, the operator panel is weatherproof, as well as being resistant to environmental influences such as salt spray, termites and chemicals.
With a powerful 1 GHz processor, the outdoor devices have quick response and display refresh times. The various display sizes, ranging from 4,3" to 12,1", offer flexibility when planning a system. The 1 x Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and 2 x USB 2.0 interfaces are integrated as standard and the operator panels can be networked in a variety of ways via optional interfaces, such as 1 x RS-232, 1 x RS-485 and 2 x CAN.
The integrated Visu+ visualisation software, as well as Visu+ Express which is available free of charge, enable easy visualisation engineering and, thanks to various drivers, support flexible connection to a range of third-party systems.
