Companion kits for electrical test environment

26 Jan 2000 Test & Measurement

Pomona Electronics is offering three new test accessory kits that feature different combinations of DMM test accessories for use with Amprobe's most popular meters. The kits are offered with either a large briefcase, shoulder pack or tri-fold pouch for test environments including plant maintenance, electrical, HVAC, automotive and field repair.

Test accessories are safely stored in multiple zippered and Velcro-enclosed compartments that also provide convenient, easy access. Constructed from durable Cordura material, the briefcase and shoulder pack models are designed so that the test accessories can be stored with the meter, ensuring that the proper accessories are available for the required measurement. Suited for field use with Amprobe's AM-50, AM-71, AM-90 and AM-1200 Series DMMs, all of the test accessories supplied in these kits are compliant with IEC1010, the latest international safety standard and many are UL listed.

The new kits offer the customers increased flexibility and convenience. Technicians can be assured that each test accessory in the kit is compatible with the Amprobe meters it is specified for. Pomona says the broad assortment of accessories also makes the technician's job easier by providing everything that is needed in one package.

The briefcase style deluxe test companion kit contains a wide range of accessories including Maxigrabber test clips with jaws, hook and insulation piercing features for hard-to-access test points. Also included in the deluxe test kit are Pomona's Minigrabber/Mini-pincer test leads, an extended tip adapter, large alligator clip, insulated spade lugs, flexible test leads and modular electrical probes with durable stainless steel tips. With ample extra space provided, the technician can conveniently add other tools and manuals to customise the kit for each type of job.

Designed to hold and protect the portable Amprobe DMM, the shoulder pack style test kit features many of the same accessories supplied in the deluxe case and can be easily attached to a tool belt. Pomona's basic kit with tri-fold pouch includes a set of test probes, one large alligator clip, Maxigrabber test clip with hook, an extended tip adapter and flexible test leads.

The new kits answer the need for rugged, reliable and high-quality test accessories designed for the sometimes harsh test environment encountered by Amprobe equipment users. They are designed to ensure that technicians have the proper accessories available to test accurately and conveniently no matter where the job may take them.
