MEC Switches is launching Rockermec, a new PCB based rocker switch solution. The system consists of two Multimec 5E switches, a sealing that also provides functionality and a new rocker cap called 10A.
Rockermec is a compact solution for high design-in requirements. It has small dimensions (10,6 x 28 mm, h = 12,15), an aesthetic design and is sealed to IP67. The rocker solution has a lifetime of 100 000 cycles and the cap can be pad printed or hard painted and laser etched. Illumination is provided with LEDs on the PCB, allowing the customer to pick the exact colour(s) desired for the application, even RGB.
The system is modular and therefore provides design consistency when multiple rockers with different needs for cap print, colour and switch actuation force are required. Furthermore the mounting process of multiple rocker solutions is simpler and quicker when using a PCB.
