RF safety monitor

16 August 2017 Test & Measurement

As health and safety policies for EMF/RF exposure levels become more stringent, companies are looking to monitor these levels to protect employees. The EME Guard XS from MVG Microwave Vision Group, is an EMF measuring device to alert workers near antennas. It continuously scans for electromagnetic waves and, via its built-in alarm and visual system, alerts users whenever the acceptable limits have been exceeded.

The EME Guard XS does accurate measurement with its tri-axis sensors and gives instant audio and visual alarms if exposure levels are exceeded. The unit is robust, reliable and user-friendly, and is ideally suited to persons working near antennas including installation and maintenance workers, broadcast, PMR and mobile phone operators or regulatory body employees.

The compact device has measurement capabilities that include continuous monitoring of electromagnetic field levels with isotropic tri-axis E-field sensors, EMF level indicated by a LED colour scale, and audio and visual alarms triggered when EMF exceeds the reference levels.

The EME Guard XS conform to the following safety recommendations: ICNIRP, FCC 96-326, Safety Code 6, 2013/35/UE. The alarm threshold can be adjusted at the MVG factory upon request to any desired specification.
