Schurter has added to its range of vandalproof and weather-resistant keyboards with the new Metallic Easy Touch designed for comfort and ease. Conventional metallic keyboards are designed for applications with limited data input. Their keys provide a short travel of 0,45 mm and 3N actuation force and extensive data input activity can be strenuous and lead to fatigue. The Easy Touch functions are more like that of a regular PC keyboard. Its 1,4 mm travel and 1N actuation force on the keys is comfortable, enabling heavier data entry use over longer periods of time.
Schurter's metallic keyboards are used for ticket vending machines, gas pumps, cash tellers and various types of kiosk terminals and information stands. They can be tailor-made in accordance to specific shapes, dimensions, labelling and interface requirements.
