Rohde & Schwarz now offer the new mobile exchange MMX-64 which offers the benefits of both analog and digital radio exchange services.
The MMX-64 is able to carry out the central control functions in an entire trunked radio network, in which case it is referred to as a master system controller (MSC). Alternatively, it can operate in large radio cells as a trunking system controller (TSC). The unit is compatible with the equipment and systems of any existing Accessnet trunked radio system and provision has also been made for integration into any future digitally trunked radio systems. The standard MMX-64 is fitted with 64 plug-in slots for interface boards, permitting the establishment of powerful large-area networks.
