Spescom achieves Quetel certification

News
Spescom Telecommunications, a division of ICT company, Spescom Limited, one of the top 20 suppliers to Telkom, has been awarded Quetel Gold certification from Telkom.
One of the ways that Telkom ensures its products and services are of world standard is by paying close attention to the international benchmarks for quality testing, as determined by the global Quest organisation, which has recently drafted the TL9000 standard. Part of this quality assurance process is the certification of suppliers known as Quetel, which checks supplied products against the overseas standard.
Achieving Quetel certification results from an extensive quality and service audit conducted by Telkom on its suppliers and Spescom Telecommunications was recently honoured with this approval.
"We were especially pleased that Spescom Telecommunications products have gained Telkom Quetel certification," says Johann Fischer, Group Quality Manager for Spescom. "In fact, our involvement with international telecoms quality standards has been lengthy and direct, with both myself and Spescom Software SA Business Unit manager, Rainer Ludwig, participating in workgroups to bring Quetel standards into line with the Quest specifications.
