Osram OptoSemiconductors' MicroSIDELED is claimed to be the smallest LED with reflector technology. This latest member of the successful SIDELED family is an example of the trend towards further miniaturisation. It meets high quality standards.

With the aid of a reflector the light is bundled in one direction and emitted at the side. The MicroSIDELED is particularly suitable for injecting in optical waveguides and for backlighting displays. It offers the entire colour spectrum as well as hyperbright white. Homogeneous back-lighting is easily achievable as these LEDs are available in close-tolerance brightness and wavelength groups.
