Small-scale micro developed for cost-sensitive applications

27 March 2002 DSP, Micros & Memory

The ST7FLITE0 is the first in a new sub-family of ST7 microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics. It extends the lower end of the ST7 range, designed to fit applications with state-of-the-art features in a very small package. ST7FLITE0 8-bit MCUs are loaded with cost-saving extras, including a high-accuracy RC oscillator in place of an external resonator. The trimmable internal low voltage detector eliminates the need for external power-on and brown-out management circuits. With this and a selection of powerful I/O capabilities, the ST7FLITE0 can help designers' overall board costs significantly.

Main features

* 1,5K Flash memory with 20-year retention, 10K cycles endurance.

* 128 bytes data E2PROM with 20-year retention, 300 K cycles endurance.

* 8-bit A/D converter with operational amplifier for low level zooming.

* Standard ST7 8-bit core with up to 8 MHz internal clock.

* Low voltage detector with three programmable threshold levels.

* Auxiliary voltage detector with interrupt capability.
