AAD was previously certified to ISO 9002 as an interim measure as the 2000 version had not yet been officially released. From November 2001, the date of the review assessment, AAD was certified to ISO 9001:2000 for the usual three year period with zero nonconformities.

AAD says that not only is it one of the few South African companies to be certified to the new quality management standard, it is the only company in the local distribution business to have attained this certification.
