MB Silicon Systems is a privately-owned electronics component distribution company and manufacturer representative, covering the whole of South Africa. Established in January 1997 the company has expanded rapidly to capture a sizeable portion of the South African electronics components market. Being totally independent, MB Silicon Systems' customers include all major manufacturers and users of components in the country.
During 2001 the company has managed to consolidate and further expand its business. Its continuous investment in software has paid off handsomely - MB Silicon Systems is today one of the few South African companies capably implementing an e-commerce strategy, covering complete business-to-business transactions. Further to this, and as another example of the commitment to its innovative service philosophy, response to customer enquiries is speeded up by implementation of Electronics Data Interchange (EDI), which enables realtime interrogation of the stock holding of certain major suppliers and principals.
In 2001 the company added six new lines onto its existing line-card. Averlogic Technologies, a San Jose-based manufacturer of video signal processing devices; Innovative Microtechnology, an Ohio-based manufacturer of low power and high density SRAM ICs; Music Semiconductors, Californian-based manufacturer of high-speed network switching and routing ICs; Rhombus Industries, a Californian-based manufacturer of pulse transformers and delay lines; Spinner, a Munich-based manufacturer of high quality RF and coax connectors and RF cable assemblies; and Xmultiple, a Californian-based manufacturer of coax adaptors.
MB Silicon Systems is certified as an ISO 9002 company, a certification that further enhances the company's pledge and commitment to the quality of service that it provides to its customers. A young company with a clearly defined path ahead, MB Silicon Systems' continued commitment to supply value to its customers, provide meaningful representation and support to its suppliers and to create a happy and stimulating work environment for staff remains unchallenged.
