The TEN 8WI DC-DC converter series from Traco Power is a family of 8 Watt DC-DC converter modules featuring an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range in a DIP-24 package with industry-standard footprint. The standard footprint makes it easy to replace any other converter with a standard DIP-24 package footprint.
The TEN 8WI series has an input voltage range up to 160 V d.c. and is available in all the popular output voltages from 3,3 V to 15 V, as well as dual output voltages in some cases. Advantageous EMC characteristics, better than 85% efficiency and EN 50155 rail approval make this product a suitable choice for many demanding applications in railroad and transportation systems. The TEN 8WI series has been tested to thermal shock and vibration resistant according EN 61373 standard.
Further standard features include remote on/off, over-voltage protection, under-voltage lockout and short circuit protection. Typical applications for these converters are also in wireless networks, telecom/datacom, industrial control systems and measurement equipment.
