High-current EMI filters

New, high current and capacitance values has extended Murata's established family of three terminal chip capacitors, providing economic and effective EMI suppression. Already used widely in PCs, word processors and peripherals, communication equipment, digital TVs, and other applications, the range offers filters in 0805, 1205 and 1806 sizes and arrays of 4, 6, or 8 circuits. Residual inductance is kept extremely low, making them ideal for noise suppression at high frequencies. The broad range of electrostatic capacitance values enables filtering of surge and pulse noise at specific frequencies.

The NFM41P filter has base-metal electrodes and is suited for noise suppression in high current DC power lines. It extends the capacitance range right up to 0,2 µF, and the current rating to a full 2 A, operating from -55 to 85°C. DC resistance is 0,04 Ohm. It comes in an 1806 footprint.
