The Virtual Component Exchange (VCX) has announced that Actel, a supplier of innovative programmable logic solutions, has expanded its intellectual property (IP) offerings available on the VCX TradeFloor. Actel has also become a member of the VCX Exchange's PLD Licensing Development Working Group, thereby furthering the group's goal of standardising and simplifying the licensing of IP cores for FPGAs.
"We have seen increased demand for IP targeted to meet the high performance targets and reduced development times required in today's marketplace," stated Dr Yankin Tanurhan, senior director of IP solutions at Actel. "The availability of additional cores on the VCX TradeFloor and our membership in the PLD Working Group demonstrates Actel's continued commitment to provide its customers with solutions designed to improve design efficiency and convenience, lower development costs and decrease time-to-market."
The VCX offerings include Actel's portable, easy-to-use CorePCI, CoreUART, CoreASYNC, CoreSDRAM, CoreArbiter and CoreCRC cores, which are well suited to high-speed communications and high-reliability applications.
