Protocol analyser and simulator for QoS and VoIP-PSTN interoperability testing and monitoring

3 July 2002 Test & Measurement

Sunrise Telecom has launched the NeTracker family. To test and analyse the new generation of convergent networks, the NeTracker combines the well-known capabilities of the company's Ghepardo line in a complete new package, featuring Protocol Application Engine (PAE) boards for PCM and ATM, and Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) for client and server operations.

Protocols supported include: SS7, ISDN, VoIP, H.323, SIP, Fax over IP, SoIP, IP, and Datacom. The NeTracker's testing capabilities address the needs of manufacturers and installers of IP-PBXs, softswitches and signalling gateways, media gateways, and traditional PSTN/ISDN switches. NeTracker also offers operators and service providers tools to assist in network planning, implementation, and deployment; QoS measurements; Call Completion Analysis; and SLA and billing verification.

The Windows 2000-based NeTracker employs a Real Time eXpansion (RTX) operating system to ensure accurate time stamping and full data-rate protocols capture. Incorporating a graphical user interface NeTracker has the capability to run three different monitor and simulation tasks simultaneously with up to eight different users. Both portable and rackmount versions are available.
