Agilent's new 350 MHz and 500 MHz 54640-series oscilloscopes help increase performance while continuing to solve tough problems. According to the manufacturer, this tool is ideal for R&D engineers who work with both analog and digital circuitry and need to capture all signals of interest at once, to view analog and digital signals simultaneously, and to identify important details quickly.
With two analog and 16 digital time aligned channels on one instrument, users are able to view up to 18 time-aligned signals on the scope screen simultaneously. This means no more guess-work and no more poking around to see a few channels at a time, says Agilent. For customers who do not need 18 channels, 2-channel models are also available.
Up to 8 MB of deep memory is available, and the high-definition display reveals subtle details. Powerful triggering capabilities allow for easier analysis of complex signals and conditions common to mixed analog and digital designs. This includes EDGE, pulse width, pattern, sequence, and TV applications. Serial triggering is standard, including CAN (controller area network), USB (universal serial bus), I2C (inter-integrated circuit), and SPI (serial protocol interface).
