The Omron E3Z photoelectric sensor family has been designed from the outset to be suitable for the majority of sensing applications. They are enclosed in a compact housing allowing more discreet installation whilst still offering a sensing range normally associated with much larger devices.
This philosophy is combined with programmable outputs, highly visible function indicators and a choice between pre-wired or M8 connector models to ensure easy installation. Furthermore, the E3Z resist water and dust to IP67. The design of the E3Z is based on Omron's continued concept of environmental protection, with typically 30% less power consumption under normal operating conditions than earlier devices, environmentally-friendly dioxin-free packaging and using lead-free solder.
These features, coupled with sensing ranges of 15 m for through-beam, 4 m for retro-reflective and 1 m for diffuse sensors, make the E3Z ideal for conveying, packaging or food and beverage applications.
