19" panel for 100Base-T surge protection

25 September 2002 Circuit & System Protection

Citel's 19" panel is designed for the surge protection of multiline inputs of a Category 5-100Base-T network at the hub level. The maximum capacity is 24 channels with the PL24-CAT5/CL panel and 12 channels with the PL12-CAT5/CL panel.

The 19" format, 1HE high (44 mm) allows installation in all standard cabinets. The product uses shielded RJ45 connectors. The circuit diagram and construction allow a bit rate of 100 Mbps and ensure Category 5 conformity.

The surge protector combines miniature gas discharge tubes with fast clamping diodes for maximum effectiveness in a small volume. All eight wires of each RJ45 connector are protected.
