Filter blocks spurious signals

25 September 2002 Circuit & System Protection

Transceivers in the open 433 MHz bands tend to require filters with sharp cut-off characteristics, sometimes for spurious rejection only. Murata has added a new filter just for this function.

The filter joins Murata's family of ceramic multilayer bandpass filters. Small, low profile and lightweight, they all feature internal shielding, low insertion loss and adjustment-free assembly. The filter (part number LFB32433MSC1-936) has a nominal centre frequency of 433,90 MHz, insertion loss in bandwidth of 3,50 and 4,00 dB respectively at 25°C and -30 to 85°C. Absolute attenuation is 28 dB at f0±80,00 MHz, maximum ripple in bandwidth is 0,50 dB and VSWR is 2,20. Power handling capacity is 500 mW.
