Earthing and lightning protection course - Durban

25 September 2002 Circuit & System Protection

A course on Earthing and Lightning Protection of Electronic Systems will be presented in Durban on Thursday 10 October 2002. The one-day course is presented by Innopro in association with the Division of Continuing Engineering Education, University of the Witwatersrand.

Covering a number of objectives, the course will provide the necessary background theory to understand the behaviour of lightning and the design of lightning protection systems. This will include both the physics of lightning and the coupling mechanisms of lightning transients into vulnerable electrical and electronic systems. The course will also aim to equip delegates with the basic knowledge of relevant national standards and show them how these are applied.
