The RT range of relays, first developed by Schrack in 1994, became a worldwide standard for general purpose relays in its class. Its compact size, high coil sensitivity and wide range of types has made the RT a universal relay and a solution for a very wide field of applications. This product family not only offers mono and bistable DC systems but also AC types up to high nominal coil voltages. In addition, the manufacturer provides special versions for high inrush currents and with especially sensitive coil systems.
Tyco Electronics Schrack has now extended this product range with a further innovative product - the RTH for 16 A at 105°C ambient temperature. The RTH relay can provide a solution for applications which have high ambient temperatures and stringent requirements for low product height. Further advantages are its sensitive coil system and small size. The focus for this product extends towards demanding specifications in the field of household appliances.
The RTH relay can reliably switch heaters with a power consumption of 2500 W up to 300 000 times at an ambient temperature of 105°C, claims the company. The RTH relay is suited for modern oven controls, halogen heaters, touch-controls, etc. A relay for 16 A/105°C use, careful selection of suitable materials and optimised design ensures reliable operation. It is also cadmium-free.
