Interconnection

Type-M hybrid connectors

Apart from signal contacts for loads of up to 4 A, it is also possible to fit high-current contacts (up to 40 A) and coaxial contacts to these connectors from Erni. This range considerably increases the field of application of 41612 multipin connectors in the telecommunication and data processing fields. Both the male and female connector halves can be equipped with 2,4,6 or 8 special contacts spaced on a 2,54 mm grid.

The multipin connectors are supplemented by a complete range of plug-in wiring connectors that are equally suitable for making connections to the front side and the wiring side, to provide detachable internal wiring connections.

In order to avoid incorrect connections which could lead to the destruction of sensitive electronic components, provision is made for coding the connector halves.

The special contacts of copper-beryllium can be inserted in the chamber provided, without the need for special equipment. A tool is available for their removal should replacement be necessary.

Coaxial contacts, with a very low reflection factor, are available in various patterns. They have good electrical transmission qualities and are largely insensitive to disturbing electromagnetic fields. High-current contacts are also available for either solder or crimp connection.
