Developed for use in applications falling between single card enclosures and 19" racks, Erni's LDG-D housings are available in three sizes - six, 10 or 20 connections. These enclosures are suitable for housing microcomputer-systems, electronic controls, fault signalling systems, decentralised control modules, data-transmission systems and similar items.
A wide range of internal circuit-board connection techniques are possible, using back-planes, cross connections, ribbon or conventional cables. Many wiring techniques can be used, hand soldering, wirewrap, press-fit, plug-in and IDC.
Almost all direct and indirect connectors DIN 41612, 41613, 41617 or 41651 as well as other connector families can be fitted, using either mounting bars or suitably preassembled units.
There is ample space for internal wiring and for fitting additional components such as transformers, etc. Four holes are provided in the bottom plate for fastening the enclosures either outside or inside switch cabinets. Provision can also be made for standard DIN 46277 rail mounting.
They may be ordered with either vibration-proof self jacking screw terminals or 2,8 x 0,8 mm Faston contact terminations for easy connection. LDG-A and LDG-D Series Universal Enclosures have received American UL and Canadian CSA recognition.
