Bourns Sensors & Controls Division has added a new feature to the Bourns Model EPS contacting encoder. For those customers requiring a tactile feel in their application, a detent option has now been added. The detent feature is available in 24 PPR (pulses per revolution) output only, giving 24 detents in 360° of rotation.
This model features Bourns' patented single pass dielectric technology, with through-hole plating on an FR4 substrate. The square pin terminal design is suited for automatic insertion. Rated at -40 to +125°C, this encoder with momentary switch can function in all temperature extremes. It is available in outputs of 6, 9, 12, 24 and 36 PPR.
The EPS model can be used in a variety of customer applications including consumer and professional audio, radio, test and measurement equipment, office and medical equipment etc.
