The CSE 15 uG (capacitive switch element under glass) is a capacitive switch from Schurter, which is actuated simply through proximity or the slightest touch of a finger. Through a fine degree of sensitivity - set in the production process - these switches can be used behind nonconductive materials (glass, plastic, wood, ceramic, etc,) up to 20 mm.
With a surface contact area of 15 x 15 mm, these switches now also have simple connection technology using a PCB plug. Expensive installation costs involving single switches are thus reduced. The PCB plug can be incorporated during the fitting process of the basic PCB. The single switch is simply plug mounted and hence integrated in existing electronics. Hand soldering on the connection pads is possible as well.
For the front layout there are a wide variety of design possibilities. Schurter can also provide customised design foil overlays on customer request.
