Motorised fans for electronics cooling developed for local conditions

Ziehl-ebm Group, the world's largest supplier of motorised fans for the cooling of electronics focused upon the telecommunications and allied industries, has expertise in South Africa that can be tapped by the electronics industry to solve some of the heat dissipation problems that challenge cooling and ventilation designs.
So says Andy Fischer, managing director of Ziehl-ebm in South Africa. He says that with research, development, design and manufacturing facilities stationed globally, the company is able to draw this knowledge to support engineering solutions to suit local conditions.
Comments Fischer: "Specialist designs from cabinet cooling and ventilation to entire substation packages have formed a major part of our international research, and we are now able to offer this expertise locally to the electronics industry."
"Designs from simplistic single motorised fan extractor applications, to complex heat exchange units have been supplied in consortium with cabinet suppliers internationally," he adds.
Ziehl-ebm SA retains in-house consultants in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban that have expertise to assist with engineering recommendations to solve design criteria from a wide range of performance specification products. These are kept locally or are available at short notice says the company.
