Aavid's In-Sil Pads can be used to increase thermal conductivity and electrically isolate up to 6000 V. These silicone-based insulators with thermally conductive fillers have high dielectric properties, handle high voltage, and are physically strong and durable.
* In-Sil 1887/97 - approaches the thermal resistance of beryllium oxide at a fraction of the cost, with high performance baron nitrate filler and fibreglass core.
* In-Sil 1888/98 and 1889/99 - thermally conductive composite of silicone rubber and fibreglass provides better thermal conduction than mica and grease.
Available with or without pressure sensitive adhesive, Aavid says that In-Sil Pads have quick application - over four times faster than mica and grease. Also they do not attract dust or foreign particles, and will not contaminate solder baths.
Other features: they withstand environmental changes without changing properties; do not crack under pressure; resist puncture and tearing; will not dry or deteriorate; maintain low thermal resistance; are flame retardant.
