Fibre-optic test equipment provider, Kingfisher International, offers what it claims is the industry's fastest and easiest to use bi-directional loss test set. The KI 7300/KI 7700 series displays average multilink loss in realtime on both instruments.
According to the manufacturer, the realtime loss and ORL display enables simplified cable certification and rectification procedures and, being easy-to-use, the handheld instrument can help save testing time when dealing with high fibre counts.
The ORL zero function and user calibration mode compensate for residual reflections and stray losses in test set-up respectively, therefore extending measurement range with improved linearity and improving overall accuracy. Autotest is available on both test and meter ports and is compatible with all other Autotest instruments. Additional features include large memory, long battery life and interchangeable connectors.
