Universal noise attenuator in SIP package

Vicor's new QuietPower output ripple attenuation module - designated QPO-1 - uses active filtering in a SIP package (measures 25 x 25 x 5 mm) to provide >20 dB of conducted differential noise attenuation from 60 Hz to 500 kHz. This QuietPower module is rated for 10 A and can be used with most switchmode power supplies having output voltages from 3 to 30 V d.c.

The manufacturer says the QPO-1's closed-loop architecture greatly improves the load transient response of the source power supply and features precise point of load voltage regulation. It can control the source either through the remote sense leads or through the voltage trim lead, and supports parallel operation for high current requirements.
